Contemporary lifestyles seem to have turned the hearts and
shifted the focus of many. Instead of worshipping God our
Father, the giver of every good and perfect gift, many are
now glorifying self brilliance and musical diversity. GECNY Music has determined to present a contrast to this city,
this nation, and to the world by remaining true to
worshipping God Bible way.
We believe that this is a strategic time to be involved with
the work of the Lord as the harvest is plenteous and
laborers are few. We are convinced that there is a remnant
of believers who have determined in their hearts to serve
God with every gift and talent within their being, and to
see Jesus Christ glorified in the earth. We are excited
about this remnant and those who have chosen to serve within
the Music Ministry of Global Evangelical Church New York.
In all we do, we seek to be faithful to the Levitical
priesthood, our biblical example for the ministry of singers
and instrumentalists in the temple. God has set forth
certain requirements, qualifications, and conditions for
those He calls to minister in music. Likewise, the praise
choir members and musicians at Global Evangelical Church New York are held
to the same requirements and high standards found in the
Word of God.
In New York City, where talent, tapped and untapped, can be
found on every street corner and in every office building,
we are committed to pleasing God by remaining
distinguishable from just another theater on Broadway, or
just another house of music. By attending any of the weekly
services you will quickly learn that this is real—not a
show, not a performance.
In addition to providing heartfelt and Christ-centered
worship for five weekly services, GECNY Music regularly
produces CD recordings of songs written by writers attending
our services. These writers have been blessed and inspired
by the sermons, prayers, and other ministries at Global Evangelical Church New York. GECNY Music is “music with a mission.” Every
dollar from the sale of music produced here is used to help
fund home missions and international outreaches conducted by
Global Evangelical Church New York.
It is our desire to please God our Father in all that we
render unto Him; to share the glorious gospel of Jesus
Christ with every man, woman, boy, and girl through the
ministry of song, and to do that in spirit and in truth. We
welcome you to join us in this endeavor and look forward to
a time of praising and worshipping the Lord together—making
melody in our hearts!
